I’m a BIPOC EMDR Consultant in Training who is EMDR Certified, IFS informed, and Somatic Experience informed through Trauma Informed Yoga.

I offer EMDR Consultation for therapists pursuing EMDR Certification, with a reserved space for BIPOC only clinicians.

My consultation style is known to:

  • Gain clinical competency and clarity within the EMDR standard protocol

  • Create systems that work for you

  • Provide resources

  • Gain confidence

  • Make the certification process easy for you with automatic tracking of hours, competencies, and required documentation

  • Meet you where you are at. All you need to do is show up with questions and case presentations

Path to Becoming a Consultant if you want to mentor, teach, or become an EMDRIA approved consultant in the future. This is a required step.

The Benefits of EMDR Certification versus EMDR Trained

EMDRIA Requirements for becoming a EMDR Certified practitioner:

1) Completed EMDR Basic Training

2) Actively licensed as a mental health professional in the state or province where you practice

3) A notarized statement of practice and EMDR experience

  • a minimum of 2 years of experience in your field

  • a minimum of 50 EMDR sessions with at least 25 clients

4) 20 hours of consultation by an EMDRIA Approved Consultant or Consultant in Training

  • 10 hours minimum of individual consultation

  • 10 hours remaining of individual or group consultation

  • Consultants in Training can provide up to 15 hours of consultation with the remaining 5 hours provided by an EMDRIA Approved Consultant

  • Consultation hours received after completion of an EMDRIA Approved Basic Training

  • If you have received consultation from more than one consultant, you will need documentation from each one

  • Consultation hours must be completed within 5 years of your application submission date

5) EMDRIA Approved Consultant Letter(s) of Recommendation for EMDR Certification of completed consultation hours

6) 2 Letters of Recommendation regarding your professional practice of EMDR by colleagues or peers

7) 12 hours of EMDRIA Continued Education

8) Adhere to the EMDRIA policies upon submission of application
